A lot of new listings to look at today which is hopefully a good sign that inventory is picking up. The cream of the crop for me was this lovely 3345 sqft Traditional in Alameda for $799,000, sitting on a beautifully landscaped corner lot.

The house has had an extensive amount of work done to it and it shows fantastically. There is an air of elegant refinement throughout and it’s rare to find a house where so much of the house is just spot-on perfect from the room sizes to the original and updated detail to the abundant natural light.

What I found really attractive about this house were the three bedrooms. The two on the first floor are both spacious and each have en suite bathrooms. Of these two the master also has a walk-in closet and sitting area. In the attic, the space has been converted to a third bedroom and bathroom, and a tiny little bonus area that would make a fun hideaway for the nippers. I do love this attic bedroom though. The shape of the room and the light that fills it lend something magical to the space and while the whole house is something quite special, it’s this top floor that really catches my attention.

A real treat that I wasn’t expecting to be so wowed by.

Sold for $782,000
